The Board of Directors of the Downtown Danville Association (DDA) believes that a vibrant downtown is critical to the quality of life and the economic well being the City of Danville and the surrounding area. Our vision of a vibrant downtown includes economically viable and unique businesses, attractions, restaurants and residential areas that serve to attract local citizens to visit the Downtown and to entice future residents to relocate into the area. We further believe that the community will fail to thrive if the core is allowed to erode into in a condition of blight and decay.

Based on these beliefs, the DDA Board dedicates itself to the principles of the Virginia Main Street Program which have been successful in the restoration of numerous downtown business areas.

• Organization of available people and assets,
• Economic restructuring to employ, renew and revitalize,
• Design efforts to highlight the old and merge with the new,
• Promotion to attract investment, visitation and commerce.

The DDA Board understands that the revitalization of Downtown Danville is both a process and a journey and will, therefore, undertake to exhibit the patience, persistence, and perseverance necessary to accomplish its goals and objectives.
